Samsung is all set to launch a bunch of products alongside the Galaxy Note 9 at the Galaxy Unpacked event on August 9 in New York. While every eye is focussed on the upcoming event, Samsung has gone ahead and filed a couple of trademark applications in the United States and Europe. The information was reported by Twitter user Ice Universe.

There have been rumours that Samsung might launch a smart speaker at the Galaxy unpacked event. A recently filed trademark application hints that the smart speaker will be called Magbee according to the documents. Another patent application document revealed that the smart speaker may have a dial. We are probably looking at a wireless home audio set up with multi-room and multi-speaker functionality. The Samsung Magbee will likely be powered by Bixby, considering the Korean giant’s practice of pushing their own software on their products.
Gizchina News of the week
There is a possibility that Samsung might unveil Magbee at the Galaxy Unpacked event alongside the Galaxy Note 9. If not then, it’ll probably be unveiled at the IFA 2018 tech trade show. The Galaxy Note 9 will likely be accompanied by the Galaxy Watch, the galaxy tab S4 and the recently leaked Wireless Charger Duo. We’ll know what Samsung has in store for us soon. Stay tuned!
