Xiaomi’s wearable making subsidiary, Huami, has launched two of its latest smartwatches in India. The two smartwatches – the Amazfit BIP, and Amazfit Stratos, that also mark the entry of Huami in India are priced Rs 5,499 ($79) and Rs 15,999 ($232) respectively. Both the Amazfit BIP and Stratos offer not only smart functions but also fitness tracking and sports activity tracking as a package.
The Amazfit Stratos is the more premium one and has more features, as the price suggests. It has a relatively bigger 320 x 300p circular screen and can track more sports activities than the Amazfit BIP, thanks to the inbuilt gyroscope. It can track activities like swimming, skiing, Tennis matches and more which the BIP can’t. It has 4GB of storage and 512MB RAM. It is powered by a dual-core chipset clocked at 1.2GHz.
Gizchina News of the week
The Amazfit has much better design and has ceramic bezels and stainless steel buttons. It is water resistant up to 5 ATM and a 290mAh battery that promises five days of usage. There’s a heart rate sensor beneath the chassis that can evaluateVO2max fitness levels as well.
The Amazfit BIP has a 1.28-inch (176 x 176 pixels) always-on display that is touch sensitive. It has a heart rate sensor as well and it is IP68 water resistant. It can relay your phone’s notifications as well as log a user’s runs cycling sessions and more. But the USP of the Amazfit BIP is its advertised 30-day battery life that can stretch to 45 days with the help of a low-power mode. It is available in Onyx Black, Cinnabar Red, White Cloud and Kokoda Green. Both the watches will be sold exclusively on Flipkart
