At an event held in China back in May, HMD unveiled the Nokia X6, a China exclusive device which is its first smartphone with a display notch. Though the device now has a successor -the Nokia X5, it was until recently the Nokia X6 started rolling out to the Global market, having been launched in Hong Kong as the Nokia 6.1 plus as rumored.
Now, as part of its global rollout, HMD Global has announced the availability of the Nokia 6.1 plus in Taiwan, making it the second market to get the device after Hong Kong. There are also indications that the device will roll out to more countries including India soon.

Priced at NT$ 8,000/€200, the Nokia 6.1 plus will go on sale in Taiwan from August through various retail channels.
Launched alongside the Nokia 6.1 plus in Taiwan is the banana phone – the Nokia 8810 4G which will be available to buy in the country from August 24th at a starting price of NT$ 2,800/€80.
Launched at the MWC 2018, the Nokia 8810 4G is a refresh of the Nokia 8810 from the 90s. It is a 4G enabled feature phone that runs KaiOS just like the JioPhone and JioPhone 2. It comes loaded social apps like Facebook, Twitter, Google Search, Google Maps, Google assistant, and will get WhatsApp support in an update that will be rolling out soon.
