Cubot’s latest phone to hit the market is the top notch equipped Cubot P20. The company’s focus when releasing this entry-level device was to gather to those who want all the newest trends of the mobile market, going from the top notch, to the glossy back and so on. Not by chance, the Cubot P20 does look pretty identical, almost clone-levels to the recently launched Xiaomi Mi 8 flagship. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as not everybody can afford an over $400 phone.
If you’re interested on how they compare physically as well as performance, camera and whatnot, then check out the video they just released on Youtube down below:
As we could see in the video, the Cubot P20 isn’t too far behind, generally. Of course, there are various downgrades, such as the less powerful CPU and lower quality photos compared to the Mi 8. Yet, the smartphone doesn’t look too different from Xiaomi’s flagship, with its high-res 6.18-inch 2246*1080 vs the 6.21-inch 2248*1080 of the Mi 8, a bigger 4000mAh battery vs 3400mAh, and a stock Android 8.0 Oreo build, which some might prefer over the MIUI from Xiaomi.
Down below we have a table with the main differences between the two handsets:

Oh well, we forgot to mention pricing, which is of course much different. The P20 does indeed come at just $129.99, while the Mi 8 has a starting price of around $450.
Basically, the Cubot P20 is an entry-level Xiaomi Mi 8 lookalike that costs around four times less. It’s now really up to you customer to decide if that’s something worth getting or not. Personally, I believe that for the price point, the P20 is a very interesting option; and you?
