Rumours have been rife that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 will be launching alongside the Galaxy Note 9. But according to folks at Android Headlines, Samsung will announce the Tab S4 on August 1 according to a reliable source.
The Galaxy Tab S4 is the successor to the Tab S3. It has appeared in leaks and reports over several weeks and given us, if not the whole picture, a glimpse at its design and specifications. So far we know that the Tab S4 will come will minimal bezels. A hands-on video from yesterday has confirmed the same. A redesigned S-pen is also in tow. Official renders have confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 will not sport a fingerprint scanner or any physical buttons. Audio will be tuned by AKG and Samsung might throw a pair of AKG earphones in the bundle.

As far as the specs are concerned, the Tab S4 sports a 10.5-inch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 2560 x 1600p resolution. It will likely be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. There will be a 13MP camera on the back while the front will be adorned by an 8MP snapper. The battery on this one will be a 7300mAh battery as confirmed earlier.
A launch on August 1 does not really make sense since Samsung already has an event scheduled for August 9. This might be a move to not crowd the August 9 event which is specifically for the Galaxy Note 9. We’ll know for sure in a few days.
