The Oppo R17 is the Chinese company’s successor to the R15 and their alleged upcoming smartphone. The R series by Oppo falls somewhere between the mid-range and the flagship smartphones. An earlier report showcased an alleged photo of the Oppo R17 that had a display similar to the Essential PH-1 aka notch-with-just-the-front-camera.

The image that has leaked today reveals the design of the phone from the back. The R17 will likely sport a dual camera setup if the image is to be believed. The colour of the back resembles the Find X’s but there’s no mechanical component here. The back seems to be made of glass which is a staple in phones nowadays. The R17 has satisfied all the 2018 gimmicks so far. There’s a notch albeit small on top of the display and a dual camera setup on the back. There’s no sight of a fingerprint scanner. If the images are to be believed, this one will probably sport an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The Oppo R17 first appeared as a name at a media event on a banner. Since then there have been a few reports but there is no confirmation from Oppo regarding the phone. Oppo is all set to unveil the F9 and F9 Pro on 15 August. There is a slight chance that we might get to see the R17 there.
