JD.com Lists Meizu X8 With An Mi Logo

JD.com is one of the most popular online stores in China. This store is known for listing devices many weeks before they are launched just like it did with the Xiaomi Mi A2 series. Today, it listed the unreleased Meizu X8 for pre-sale with a price of 6666 Yuan ($975) price tag. Well, since the price is yet to be fixed, it is not much of a surprise but the major surprise is that this smartphone is listed with an MI logo.

Gizchina News of the week

We can see from the image above that the Meizu X8 is still under wraps on JD.com’s listing but on the down right corner of the image, we can see the “Mi” logo. This is obviously a mistake from Jingdong and the page has since been expunged. This is quite embarrassing for the internal staff who made this huge mistake. In addition, the page shows that the Jingdong is responsible for shipping, and provides after-sales service. This smartphone is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 710 chipset thus it should lock horns with the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE although pricing may clearly sperate these devices.
