Trends come and go but there are some that just stick longer, such as the latest 18:9 display fad. Because of this somewhat weird trend, pretty much every phone manufacturer felt the need to launch their 18:9 display equipped device. Of course, even smaller phone makers such as AllCall can’t avoid doing the same. That’s why the AllCall S1 is here, what some could call a bigger AllCall Rio, the company’s previous entry-level phone.
The AllCall S1 does indeed come with a 0.5-inch larger 5.5-inch display – the Rio was 5-inch – and an 18:9 aspect ratio. What’s somewhat impressive though, is that both phones take almost the same footprint, thanks to the narrower aspect ratio and slimmer top and bottom bezels.

According to some surveys, the 18:9 screen ratio can also guarantee that more users will be able to reach up to the top of the screen using only one hand, thanks to the narrower phone body. So, the 5.5-inch display on the AllCall S1 is big enough for media consumption, meaning you can enjoy your videos and games, yet small enough to provide a comfortable holding experience.
As for the materials, the screen of AllCall S1 uses a TFT IPS panel with a 178 degree viewing angle, allowing it to be quite clear and vivid from most angles. For the $69.99 price tag, the AllCall S1 might be a very good entry-level option. Do you agree with us? Let us know down below!
