[GizPoll of the Week] Fast Charging Or Wireless Charging – Take Your Pick

From our last week poll, it was a close call between Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 and Honor Note 10. 50% of our voters say that it’s going to be the MIX 3 for sure while 37% says they will go for the Note 10 if it sells below $500. Another 13% don’t care what the price of the Note 10 is, they will go for it anyway.

In the manufacturing industry today, there is the preponderance of two charging systems – fast charge and wireless charging. Different OEMs have come up with a variety of fast charge from Qualcomm’s Quick Charge to OnePlus’ Dash Charge, or even Oppo’s VOOC charging. The speed with which the phone charges depends on the manufacturer and all phones with fast charge does not charge with the same speed.

Wireless charging, on the other hand, is becoming increasingly popular and most smartphones now come with this feature. It is pretty convenient to use as you just have to place the device on the charging pad. As of now, wireless charging only works with phones that have glass rear but not all phones with a glass rear support wireless charging. Some manufacturers incorporate both wireless and fast charging on their flagships. However, this will no doubt, significantly increase the cost of the device

So, what do you think about these charging methods? wireless charging or fast (wired) charging? Cast your vote in the poll below and if there is anything else you need to add, let us know in the comments.
