Is the Cubot P20 the Best 6.18-inch Notch Screen Budget Phone?

Cubot P20

Top notch equipped phones have become the norm, so it’s about time we get used to it. With the insane amount of very similarly looking devices hitting the market, it’s now really hard to pick one that does it better than the competition. With that we mean a smartphone that still looks good, has some nice hardware inside and a better than average build quality.

On of the latest notch screen phones to get released is the Cubot P20, a 6.18-inch Full HD+ (2246 x 1080) display equipped device with a maximum PPI of 403 and a 19:9 aspect ratio. Beneath it, we find a MediaTek MT6750T processor, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable to 128GB via microSD), it also ships with Android 8.0 out of the box.

As for the appearance, the Cubot P20 does look a little similar to the Xiaomi Mi 8, especially for the glossy back and the vertical dual rear camera combo. Sensors differ of course though, with the Cubot P20 sporting a 20MP plus 2MP setup and the Mi 8 owning a 20MP plus 12MP combo. So Xiaomi’s device is definitely better, but we’re also talking about a much more expensive phone at around 4 times the price.

Where the P20 has an edge over the Mi 8 is batter capacity, with the former packing a bigger 4000mAh capacity juice pack, which should be enough for a full day of use, playing games or surfing the web, getting at night at around 30%.
