Motorola Schedules an Event For August 15

Motorola has announced that it will be holding an event on August 15 in China. The Lenovo owned phone maker took to Weibo to tease the upcoming event. The poster sadly reveals nothing about any upcoming smartphone.

Motorola recently launched their flagship, the Moto Z3 with not the latest of specs at the 2nd August event in Chicago. We expected to see the Moto One and Moto One Power too but seems like Motorola has a different event planned for them. The August 15 event might see the launch of Motorola’s first notched phone, the Moto One Power alongside the Moto One. Both the phones have been making the rounds of the rumour mill for weeks now. The One Power recently passed by TENAA confirming its imminent launch in China.

The event might also see the launch of the Moto Z3 in China. Another phone expected to be launched is the Z3 Play. Currently, Motorola has not revealed what the event is about but judging from the “hello moto” tag, it’s likely a new device launch. While we are aware of what the Z3 and Z3 Play are equipped with, it will be interesting to see what the One and the One Power bring to the table. Hopefully, Motorola will launch its first notched smartphone on 15th August.
