HTC announces Android Pie update plans for 4 of its flagship phones

It has been only a few days since Google released the newest stable version of its Android OS -dubbed Android 9.0 Pie. As you might be aware, Google immediately started seeding the update to Google Pixel users, while Essential in a rather swift move announced Android P roll-out for its phone the same day when the OS was released.

While we expect other third party OEMs to begin rolling out the update to eligible devices soon, it now appears HTC is planning the Android 9.0 Pie to a couple of its smartphones. HTC via its official Twitter account has announced it will roll out Android 9.0 Pie for the HTC U12+, U11+, U11, and HTC U11 life (Android One), a specific timeframe for the rollout will be announced in due course.

Gizchina News of the week

HTC guarantees only two major Android updates for its flagship phones, so that excludes the HTC 10 from the Android 9.0 Pie update plans.
