We knew Motorola would be holding a launch event later on August 15 in China following the Chicago event last week. Its been widely believed the event would be the launch pad for the Moto Z3 in China, and probably also see the arrival of the oft-rumored Moto One Power and Motorola One Android One smartphones.
Now, if the latest leaks are anything to go by, the Lenovo owned company could be launching a different set of smartphones altogether. Earlier today, three fresh Motorola made smartphones namely – the Moto P30, Moto P30 Play, and Moto P30 Note surfaced on the company’s Chinese website fueling speculations that they might debut at the August 15 event in Beijing.
Gizchina News of the week
The listing reveals that the Moto P30 will be available in 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB RAM and storage options, and in Ice Jade White, Bright Black, and Aurora, while the Moto P30 Play – which we believe could be the budget variant will be offered in 4GB/64GB memory in Ice Jade White and Bright Black color options.
Though no further details were revealed, the Moto P30 Note appears to be the largest of the trio and is billed to come in 4GB/64GB and 6GB/64GB configurations, and in only black color.
While these devices are just surfacing for the first time, there are speculations that these might be the Chinse variants of the Motorola One and Motorola One Power which might be heading to the European markets. Hopefully, things might become clearer as we approach the August launch date in China.
