Xiaomi just recently got its hands free from releasing the Mi Pad 4 in China. And soon after, there were echoes of a bigger plus-sized version of the Mi Pad 4. Now, we have a more concrete leak regarding the same alleged Mi Pad 4 Plus. There are specifications, colour options, and some design related stuff that we will highlight here. One thing’s for sure, the tablet space might be dying, but Xiaomi doesn’t seem to care.
Obviously, the Mi Pad 4 Plus is going to come with a bigger display and battery. The tip comes from an Indian leakster, and there’s only so much you can do with a tablet design. While the leak does suggest a bigger battery and display, we aren’t sure how big it is going to get. The leak here suggests a 10-inch panel but the resolution is not known.
Gizchina News of the week
The Mi Pad 4 is supposed to be powered by the same Snapdragon 660 SoC that has time and again proved to be an able workhorse. Below are the expected connectivity options:
Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, 4G LTE, and a USB Type-C port
As for the battery, it is going to be bumped up obviously keeping in mind the 6,000mAh battery of it’s smaller sibling. The leaks also throws light on the RAM and storage variants of the device. As you can see in the image above, a 4GB + 64GB/128GB variant is rumoured. Since this is the Plus sized version we’re talking about, we should see much of the same specifications except for the bigger display and battery. Expect the bigger brother of the Mi Pad 4 to launch soon in China.
