It is almost now certain that Oppo would soon release a Pro variant of the recently announced Oppo R17. The device allegedly showed up on the 3C certification site, followed by a confirmation by the Geekbench site a few hours ago.
Today, Oppo via an official Weibo channel has released a Warm-up post for preparatory to the Oppo R17 pro unveiling. Previous reports have it that the Oppo R17 Pro could come with a triple rear camera set-up, now, Oppo has confirmed that the Oppo R17 would arrive sporting a f/1.5 and f/2.4 variable camera aperture which implies the camera would be able to change its aperture depending on the surrounding factors.
Gizchina News of the week
Much like the Galaxy S9+ and the Galaxy Note 9, the Oppo R17 pro variable aperture will offer you the ability to switch the size of the aperture according to the intensity of the light, so you can capture brighter shots in areas where there are limited sources of light.
We are not sure what exactly the Oppo R17 Pro might bring to the table, chances are that it might feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with water drop notch, but will ditch the SD 670 SoC for the Snapdragon 710 chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM, while the storage space would most likely not exceed 128GB.
Whether the Oppo R17 Pro comes with a triple rear camera or not remains to be known, we won’t have to wait much longer, as the device might be released on August 18 when the base R17 is tipped to go on sale.
