Coolpad has launched a new entry-level smartphone in India. Dubbed the Coolpad Mega 5A, the new entrant is an offline exclusive device and the brand first smartphone in India to sport the trendy 18:9 display which the maker says will deliver a great viewing experience.
The device is immediately available across Indian 8 states including – Delhi NCR, Haryana, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra, and is priced at INR 6,999 (about $100).

Parading a 5.45-inch 1440x720px 18:9 display, the Coolpad Mega 5A gets a quad-core Spreadtrum SC9850K SoC with a clock speed of 1.3GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.
There is a dual camera set up on the back- an 8-megapixel primary sensor and a 0.3-megapixel VGA secondary sensor with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and LED flash, while a single 5MP selfie camera sits above the display. Measuring 148×70.7×8.9mm and weighing in at 148g, the CoolPad Mega 5A boots Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, and comes packed with a 2500mAh battery.
