Earlier, the fourth generation Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 was out. The latter comes with an 8-inch full-screen, which makes the tablet quite comfortable for single-hand operations. But there are still many users who prefer a larger screen and a longer battery life that can provide a more enjoyable experience. That’s why the manufacturer decided to bring in a new tablet, namely the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus. Actually, the internals of both models are almost identical, but the latter sports a larger screen and a larger battery. Today, it officially went on sale at price tags of 1899 yuan ($275) and 2099 yuan ($305) for the 64GB and 128GB models, respectively. There are two variants to choose from – black and gold.
Gizchina News of the week
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus uses the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE chip, which is paired with a 4GB LPDDR4X dual-channel memory and a 64/128GB eMMC 5.1 storage. The new tablet also comes with an 8620mAh battery. According to the official introduction, it can provide up to 16 hours of video playback. Unfortunately, it still supports 5V/2A charging.
You guess the screen is the selling point of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus. It is equipped with a 10.1-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1920×1200. The screen ratio is 16:10 and the pixel density is 224PPI, while the contrast is reduced from 1200:1 to 1000:1. However, it continues supporting Eye mode, standard mode, enhanced mode, luminous screen, and color temperature adjustment in a smart adaptive mode.
Nothing changed in camera configuration – the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus is equipped with the same configuration as the 8-inch variant – a 13-megapixel rear camera and a front-facing 5-megapixel camera that supports AI face recognition.
The dimensions have changed as well. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus still uses an integrated metal body with dimensions of 245.6*149.08*7.99mm. At the same time, the weight reached 485g. Unlike the previous model, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus carries a fingerprint recognition button on the front and can also be used as Home button.
