LeEco isn’t dead yet! Or at least its software division appears to be still running. Around two years after the launch of the – back then – LeTV Le 2 the smartphone has now received un updated to EUI 6.0. This happened a couple days after the more premium Le Max 2 got the same treatment.
The LeTV Le 2 was a quite interesting phone when launched, being one of the most affordable MediaTek Helio X20 powered devices on the market at 1000 Yuan ($145).
The smartphone has been updated up to a 5.9 build, but it stagnated to that for quite a while. The EUI 6.0 it received today instead brought some major changes.
Gizchina News of the week
The Le 2 is indeed now able to support for face recognition for both unlocking the phone, unlocking apps and privacy options. At the same time, we see a better spot search in the browser, desktop, theme Store, housekeepers, calendars, and other features have been reworked and optimized.
This is really cool news coming from the dying phone maker. Which gives it a somewhat bitter taste as well. Do you guys agree? Do you wish LeTV / LeEco was still active and rocking? Let us know down below!
