We’re just a few days away from August 22nd, the day when Xiaomi plans to officially unveil their #morethanfast Poco F1 smartphone in New Delhi, India. It’s a powerful smartphone powered by a Snapdragon 845 SoC, along with 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, a dual camera setup and a 4000 mAh battery – just enough for more than 1,5 day of work.

The Poco F1 is expected to be manufactured by polycarbonate materials in order to keep his price low… with a Romanian retailer’s website stating that the phone will cost approximately 489$ (420 Euros).

But wait a moment: according to 91 Mobiles, the Xiaomi Mi 8 will soon be released in India, as you can see in the screenshot below. It’s a true flagship that’s equipped with the same chipset as the Poco F1 (Snapdragon 845), featuring 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB of native storage, dual cameras on back, and a 3400mAh battery. The price range for the Mi 8 will reportedly start at the equivalent of $408 USD and run as high as $499 for the model with 256GB of storage. Xiaomi Mi 8

If the source is valid, then both phones will soon be available in the Indian market in the coming days. Could Mi 8 affect the sales of the Poco F1? Or nice versa? What do you think?

I would have loved it if they just combined the two phones. I really like the headphone jack and the bigger battery, but I really prefer the bigger AMOLED screen over the IPS one. Also, the POCO phone really looks plasticy.

I would go for the MI 8.
