Vivo Y83 Pro launched in India via retail channels, official announcement soon


Vivo has just announced an incremental upgrade to the Vivo Y83 today aptly called Vivo Y83 Pro. The new Pro variant represents an upgrade mostly in the camera segment and some other areas which we will describe below. The budget handset from Vivo costs Rs 15,990 (as per retail info, $229) which is Rs 1,000 more than the Vivo Y83 that just launched in May. It is available in just one format, however, Vivo hasn’t declared anything official about the device. All info coming to us is via retail channels in India.

The Vivo Y83 Pro comes possesses a 6.22-inch HD+ display with 720x1520p resolution. This is an IPS display with 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch on top of the display. The handset has 4GB of RAM and the processor hasn’t isn’t known to the retailer but we reckon it will be the same as the Vivo Y83. As described by the retailer, the Vivo Y83 has 64GB of onboard storage

In terms of camera, the Vivo Y83 Pro has a 13MP primary cam and a 2MP depth sensor while the front has an 8MP shooter fit for selfies. The package runs on a 3,260mAh battery. For the official launch and availability, you will probably have to wait a bit more.
