Remember the phone with the dual cameras popping out at the front? Well, the upcoming handset – namely called Elephone PX – appears to get closer as the Chinese phone maker unveils some additional details about this very unique phone.
Elephone did indeed release some images of the pop-up mechanism that is expected to power the camera lifting. As we can see in the photo below, the smartphone will pack a tiny spiral stepper motor, just like the one we find on the Vivo NEX and Oppo Find X.
This little but expensive piece of tech is what will actually lift the dual camera module above the display and thus allow you to snap selfies. Check out the image:
Meanwhile here we can have a look at the 3D rendering of said motor:

Finally, as we can see in the featured image for the post, we were right in assuming that this pop-up camera system was going to be packed in the same phone we saw with the tri camera setup on the back of the device.
So, basically, Elephone is working on a clone of both the Huawei P20 Pro and the Vivo NEX. If we didn’t know any better we could even speculate that the name of the phone itself is a combination of the two, the “P” from “P20 Pro” and the “X” from the “NEX”.
But this is of course just my two cents. Let’s just wait and see what Elephone actually comes out with!
More info on the Elephone PX will be available on the official website when time is due.
