Oppo has just announced the availability of the Oppo A5 – one of its latest mid-ranger for the Indian market. First launched in China last month, the Oppo A5 joins the likes of the Oppo Find X, Opo F9, and F9 pro all of which landed in the country quite recently.
Available in Rose Gold and Blue color options, the A5 is immediately available across offline stores in the country like Hotspot and BigC Mobiles at Rs 14,990/$213, and at that price, the device will have the likes of Nokia 6.1, Honor 9N, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and even the recently announced Nokia 6.1 plus to contend with for market shares.

Major highlights of the device include a glossy diamond-like finish, a large 4,320mAh battery, boasting of up to 14 hours of video playback or 11 hours of gaming playback in one charge as well as a quick application freeze” feature, which can intelligently and automatically freeze power consumption for some apps when it “thinks” it’s necessary.
The Oppo A5 flaunts a large 6.2-inch 19:9 top notched display with an Octa-core Snapdragon 450 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. On the flip side, the device comes fitted with a dual camera setup comprised of a 13MP and a 2MP shooter that can snap photos with a bokeh effect, while a single 8MP sensor for selfies with AI beauty sits within the notch. The Oppo A5 lacks a fingerprint sensor but comes with the Face Unlock feature.
