Cubot isn’t new to international visits, a while back we indeed cover the news about a Spanish TV station that picked the company’s factory as a model to show how they work and what they produce. Well, today Cubot had another international guest, a chief international officer from Yandex, the largest search engine in the Russian region and known as the Google of Russia.
Yandex’s business is very extensive, and recently there have been reports that they will establish a national e-commerce platform to deal with AliExpress’s monopoly in the Asian continent.

Alex Vassiliev – this is the name of Global Chief Strategy Officer – is currently looking for qualified brands in China and the first one he decided to visit is indeed Cubot. Mr. Vassiliev is indeed interested in bringing Cubot phones into the upcoming Yandex Store as they’re some of the best selling devices in the ex-soviet country.
Cubot then made a video to wrap up the day of Vassiliev at the factory:
As we previously hinted, Cubot is known in Russia for producing cost-effective smartphones and the good after-sales service system. That’s probably why they were on Yandex’s radar.
What do you guys think about the news? Will it mean anything for us? Do you imagine yourself buying Cubot phones on the Yandex store?
