No matter how many emojis are included every year in Unicode Emojis, it’ll never be enough to satisfy everyone. With every major OS update, we see both Apple and Google in a kind of race to bring the best and newest emojis to its customers.
Last year, something totally different happened when Apple debuted the Animoji. A new different way of interactive emojis that could mimic the user’s expression. After Apple, other companies launched their own solutions to compete in the segment. We saw the advent of AR Emoji, Qimoji, Omoji and a ton of whatever-else-emoji.
Today, Google is launching their new solution for animated emojis in the form of Selfie Stickers. The new feature will be introduced to Gboard allowing users to capture their faces and turn into stickers that can be sent to users in multiple chat applications.

You can easily take a selfie and make your own custom sticker by tapping the new Mini Sticker Icon at Gboard. The sticker can even be customized by changing the pose or expression and it will be stored in a special gallery with all your stickers.
Who would think, 20-years ago, that among the great things of future, companies would be in a race for the best of animated Emojis?
