Apparently, Vivo is working in a new variant for its premium mid-range smartphone the Vivo NEX A. The first model was released back in June with Snapdragon 710, but while the standard NEX packed an in-display fingerprint scanner, the NEX A brought it on the back.
Today a new variant of the NEX A surfaced in a listing certified by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The device goes by the Vivo NEX UD A moniker. Obviously, the UD means under-display fingerprint and should be just a new variant of the former NEX A, with the same specs, but a brand new 3D fingerprint scanner.

The Vivo NEX A is another strong representant of the Premium mid-range segment that got popularized since the last year. Inside, the handset features the excellent Snapdragon 710 paired with 6GB of RAM. When it comes to the other specifications, the NEX A borrow some of the main features of the NEX S. The dual 12MP + 5MP main cameras, a pop-up 8MP selfie snapper, a gorgeous 6.59-inch display and a massive 4,000mAh battery.
The new under-glass fingerprint scanner will be a new good addition for the Vivo NEX A. However, the current owners of the NEX A may feel a bit disappointed. Of course, the price will see an increase to justify the use of such new technology.
