Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, is making some waves with its recently launched Xiaomi Pocophone F1 which comes with flagship features and hardware but has a mid-range price tag.
This smartphone went on its first official sale today on Flipkart and it turned out to be the largest sale ever for Flipkart. A few minutes after the sale commences, Poco India tweeted that the Poco F1 has recorded over INR 200 crore (INR 2 billion > approx. $28 Million) in less than five minutes. Of course, this is not the final sale figure but it is certainly close to it because it appears that as at the time of the tweet, the sale had ended. The tweet partly reads “Thank you, Masters Of Speed. Next sale is on 5th September!”
The Xiaomi Pocophone F1 base model has a INR 20,999 price tag while the highest model arrived with a INR 29,999 price tag. To make INR 2 billion, the company needs to sell at least 96,000 units of the base model or 67,000 units of the highest model. Although the company did not give the exact number of units sold, it is certainly somewhere around 100,000.
The Xiaomi Pocophone F1 is currently available on a couple of popular stores but the starting price is $349.99. Check out the deals that we compiled below.
