Only hours after Huawei’s Honor briefly showcased the Honor Magic 2 at the Honor Play launch, a leak of leak out of China has once again given us reasons to think the smartphone designs could be taking a different turn come 2019. By today’s announcement, Honor looks set to introducing a phone that’s all screen, with no notch, no chin in sight and with a slide-out camera system that was made popular earlier this year by Oppo.

Now, out of nowhere, Xiaomi’s Xiaomi’s President, Lin Bin has released a photo of an unreleased Xiaomi Mix Mix 3 that suggest the company would be hopping on the slider camera bandwagon soon. From the posted image, it is apparent the Mi Mix 3 would come as a truly bezel-free phone with the same sliding camera move as the Find X and the Magic 2 from Honor, however, it appears the mechanism would be somewhat different.
The Weibo post says Xiaomi could be revealing the device much later in October, so we are quite sure more details will surface in the days leading to the official unveiling.
They get this down to $400-500, it will be a flagship killer. Still wish it had no front cameras and was waterproof instead.
Why do you need waterproof, I never covered my phones in full rain ever, never had problems spilling water 💦 on them. Waterproof makes the price go high.
Why do you say “out of nowhere” when this phone has been rumoured for a few weeks at least??
