Major events from tech giants World over are lining up. Apple asked for September 12, Google asked for October 2, and now, Microsoft is asking for just a “moment of your time.” Whatever that phrase means we do not know, but then, we know its an official invite to a launch event/ hardware event on October 2nd at the Industria Studios at 775 Washington Street at about 4:00 p.m. Eastern.
The invite gives no hint on what products to expect at the launch, the understanding, however, is that a significant part of the event will go to Microsoft Surface hardware, though not necessarily Surface phone, while significant part will be devoted to Microsoft software and services as well.
Gizchina News of the week
With the Surface Go only a month old in the shelves, an update to that might seems too soon, however, the Surface Book from 2 years ago might be due for a refresh. ZDNet reports that the event might also be an avenue for Microsoft to reveal the next iteration of the Windows 10 (codenamed 19H1), Cortana, Outlook, OneNote, and To-Do, a few other products from the Tech giant that have potential consumer appeal might get a slice out of the show.
ZDNet also reports that the October 2 event might be a low key event, and that gives us more reasons to believe a Surface phone isn’t part of the lineup, so the event is not likely not to be broadcast live. However, we would bring you timely update as they pop up.
