Xiaomi Mi 4 Series To Get Stable MIUI 10 Update In November

The Xiaomi MIUI system has been continuously updated for 388 weeks. The maintenance and repair of the old models are quite encouraging and this company is one of the few OEMs that considers old models. Now, ‘ancient’ Xiaomi phones like the Xiaomi Mi 4 series still get updates. Xiaomi officially announced today that the MIUI system is preparing a stable system for Xiaomi Mi 4, Xiaomi Mi 4C and Xiaomi Mi 4S. The last MIUI 10 development version released for these models (version 8.9.13), no longer supports upgrades. Users can choose to remain in the development version based on what they want or they could make an appointment to upgrade to the subsequent MIUI 10.1 stable version, which is expected to be launched in November. If you are interested in the stable version, here are some important information that you need to know

  • ROOT will be automatically inactive
  • The stable version is smoother with MIUI 10 natural sound, Portal 2.0 and other features. However, there is almost no difference in the overall use of the system.
  • No data will be erased, but it is still recommended to back up important data before upgrading.
  • If you need to update the system, you can select system update from the top right menu to download the complete package. When the update is available, you will get a notification.
