Samsung has recently scheduled a launch event for October 11, joining the list of big OEMs like Google, Huawei, Razer, Oneplus and LG mobile that have already scheduled launch events for various dates in the coming month.
Gizchina News of the week
While we know a Quad-camera smartphone could be the major highlight of the event, there seems to be no official information on what exact product to expect, as well as where the event will be held, however, the guys over at Lowyat says the event will be held in Malaysia based on an official invite it received from Samsung recently. While we have no sample of the invite, the source says the invite also confirmed that this is indeed the first time Samsung will be holding a Global launch event outside the shores of NewYork, Barcelona, London, and Berlin.
Once again, we do not have the clearest hint yet on what the Korean electronics giant got to unveil, however, the original invites suggest a Samsung Galaxy smartphone with a Quad-camera setup at the back could be the highlight of the event, while others speculate it might be a foldable smartphone. Also, the event might also be an avenue for Samsung to bring several of its devices including the Galaxy Note 9 to the Malaysian market.
As Samsung hasn’t spilled the beans on what surprise it has for us, our best bet is to chill until the deal date when everything will make obvious.
