The three newest iPhone XS, XS Max and XR have already passed the certification in China and a mandatory part of this process is the disclosure of the actual battery capacity of the devices, a thing that Apple does not provide on its site Web.
So for all the curious, here are sizes of battery capacity in the three new iPhones:
- iPhone XS Max: 3174 mAh
- iPhone XS: 2658 mAh
- iPhone XR: 2942 mAh
The iPhone XS Max in particular has the largest battery ever placed on an iPhone, but interestingly the iPhone XR will have more autonomy according to Apple, beating the iPhone 8 Plus the battery champion of last year, adding an extra hour.
Another curious fact is that the new iPhone XS seems to have a slightly smaller battery (2,658 mAh versus 2,716 mAh) than the iPhone X last year.
