All rumors and leaks from out of China thus far suggest OnePlus would be releasing an upgraded OnePlus 6 smartphone in the following days. The phone before now has been referred to as the OnePlus 6T following the tradition of the OnePlus 5 and its iterative OnePlus 5T upgrade.
As suggested by previous leaks, OnePlus next major release will be dubbed the OnePlus 6T – as alluded to by a recent TV commercial in India, and the now, the OnePlus 6T landing page on Amazon India. Other than the option to get notified when it becomes available, and the Coming soon tag, the OnePlus 6T Amazon India landing page hasn’t highlighted any other feature of the smartphone.
Gizchina News of the week
This should be the fourth time in a row that OnePlus and Amazon India are teaming up to make its smartphones available to Indians, and as seen on the landing page, the OnePlus 6T will be exclusive to Amazon India.
A whole lot has been rumored about the upcoming device. To start with, the device will make do with a dual camera setup and not the triple camera arrangement which we were meant to believe, while it will also ditch the rear fingerprint scanner for an in-display sensor.
While the Oneplus team would undoubtedly stick with the Snapdragon 845 SoC and RAM and storage configurations, a recent report suggests the device would come with a larger footprint compared to the OnePlus 6, while also introducing the waterdrop notch.
Even with its Amazon India page already out, the Oneplus 6T isn’t expected to break cover until probably October 17, when it’s pricing as well as roll out details, will be announced.
