Xiaomi recently teased a launch event where it will unveil five mysterious smart home products. I will be representing Gizchina at the event set in Bangalore on September 27th as we have received an invite for the launch. But what are these mysterious ‘Smarter Living’ products that will be launched at the event? We think we know.
An exclusive report from Smartprix was sent to me that reveals the identity of at least some of these products. These are smart TVs (three precisely), Mi Band 3, Mi Home security camera, and a 90 point Suitcase.
Gizchina News of the week
For TVs, Xiaomi already has a lineup in India now, but new offerings that are available in China namely Xiaomi Mi TV 4C, Mi TV 4S, and Mi TV 4X are likely coming to India. These are medium-sized devices with 32-inch t0 35-inch screens. The Mi TV 4C is the cheapest and will likely cost around Rs 11k in India. The Mi TV 4X is 55 inches and costs 2,799 yuan.
A Mi Home security camera working with Android OS and works with night-time video is also expected. The Mi Band 3 has a bigger 0.78-inch OLED screen and an IP67-rated body and is available in India. It has NFC and can receive calls and notifications too.
Xiaomi 90 point suitcase 1A has a smaller 20-inch model which we expect to see in India. It is made of Germany Bayer PC material and has a tough three-layer composite structure. It could cost around Rs 3,200 ($45).
