Nubia’s gaming smartphone, Red Magic might be headed to India and maybe unveiled as soon as next month, reports TheMobileIndian a well known Indian portal for smartphones. The publication reported yesterday citing sources close to the matter that Red Magic could launch by the third week of October under a sub-Rs 30k price tag. The handset is already available in China but isn’t quite sold in any other parts of the globe yet.
As of now, there is no gaming smartphone in the Indian regions per se. None of the brands like Asus, Razer, or Xiaomi have offered their gaming devices in India. Nubia would be the first to do so. The Nubia Red Magic is a sleek and funky-looking device with an aesthetic that will please gamers. The rear especially has hexagonal-shaped elements like the camera and fingerprint reader as well as an LED light strip that can switch 16 million colours. The back also has four cooling vents and three layers of graphite for prolonged power gaming sessions.

However, the Red Magic doesn’t rock the latest Snapdragon 845 chip inside even though it is rumoured to be working on a new version. It has a Snapdragon 835 instead and a 5.99-inch Full HD+ panel. It has a beefy 3,800mAh battery and DTS surround sound tech for a good audio experience.
A proper gaming smartphone with a Snapdragon 835 under Rs 30k wouldn’t be a bad deal and Nubia could have the first mover advantage in India as no competitors exist right now.
