Microsoft Invests $40 Million In AI Development For Humanitarian Operations


In order to further implement artificial intelligence technology to assist human life, Microsoft announced at the Ignite 2018 event in Orlando, USA that it will invest $40 million to establish a five-year humanitarian AI development plan, which will enable artificial intelligence to be implemented in disaster prediction, child rescue, refugee assistance, and the maintenance of basic human rights.

The five-year humanitarian development AI development plan is basically a continuation of Microsoft’s previous AI for Good promotion project. The main plot of this project is to apply artificial intelligence to assist human life.

In this year Ignite 2018 event, Microsoft also announced the development of various types of artificial intelligence technology applications, including the improvement of artificial intelligence technology to be more flexible between the terminal device and the cloud service. The company also did a lot of work on the security protection between devices, to avoid suffering more Multi-hacker attacks and malicious intrusions. In all, Microsoft also believes that it can modify the current corporate application development through artificial intelligence technology, and thus create a more convenient life mode.
