The Samsung Galaxy P30 will not sport a in-fingerprint scanner, after all

Suddenly a lot of news have popped out about the Samsung Galaxy P30, revealing their specifications, color options and even the technology used for display. Today more information about the handset RAM amount has surfaced, alongside additional info about the fingerprint scanner.

Yesterday, we brought some news directly from the SamMobile pointing to the possible presence of an in-display fingerprint scanner. Apparently, this will not be the case and the new in-display security technology should be in rest until the 10th-anniversary Galaxy Smartphone series arrives.

The above information was collected by a tipster, and according to him the Samsung upcoming Galaxy P30, which goes by the SM-G6200 model number, will debut with 6GB of RAM. The processor remains a mystery, however, we believe that the company will include one of Qualcomm’s offering for the midrange category such as the Snapdragon 636 or Snapdragon 660.

The smartphone will ship with Android 8.1 Oreo out-the-box with the most recent version of Samsung Experience UI running atop. The new smartphone will be equipped with an LCD screen, despite Samsung’s effort with the AMOLED technology. Reportedly, the Galaxy P30 will launch sometime in the next month alongside a Plus variant. The duo of smartphones will be part of Samsung’s newest P series that will bring decent specifications at a lower price.
