Xiaomi’s New AI Feature Phone Officially Launched On Jingdong – Sells For 369 Yuan ($54)


At the beginning of last month, Xiaomi crowdfunded a new AI Feature Phone (Multi-Parent AI phone) for only 199 Yuan ($29). During the crowdfunding, more than 60,000 people supported this new product and the sales amount reached 18 million Yuan ($2.6 million). Today, this feature was officially launched on Jingdong and it came with a 369 Yuan ($54) price tag. Initially, this device was available in gray and white colours but we now have two additional colours – Red and Yellow.

The front design of this AI Feature Phone is divided into two parts, the upper part is the screen and the lower part is the physical keyboard. The keyboard is flat and sensitive. This phone uses a 2.8-inch IPS screen with 240 x 320 display resolution for precise colour reproduction. Its display is protected with an unspecified Corning Gorilla glass and it also has anti-fingerprint to avoid print stains. One of the major features of this device is that it comes with in-built Xiao Ai thus it can be easily operated using voice interaction, and according to the company, it has an excellent interactivity. You can use “shortcut” or “#” to activate Xiaomi Ai and check the weather, play songs, tell stories, listen to the radio, and make calls by voice. In addition, Xiao Ai is compatible with languages in 17 countries and translates Chinese into 17 languages.
