Xiaomi was expected to launch five new smart home products in India today. The company had teased the event on social media with a ‘Smarter Living‘ banner earlier last week also quizzing fans to guess the identity of these new upcoming devices. These new products are now official and below are the details of each of them below.
Mi Band 3
The Mi Band 3 was one of the most obvious expected products as the Band 2 was announced in China recently. The wearable from Xiaomi has a 0.78-inch OLED touch panel with 128×80 pixel resolution and it’s water resistant for up to 50 meters. It has a 110mAh battery that promises 20 days of use. It’s bigger than the 70mAh capacity of the Mi Band 2. It has Bluetooth 4.2 LE connectivity and can sync with both iOS and Android. It features a heart rate monitor, pedometer, sedentary reminder, sleep monitoring, weather, alarm. It is priced at Rs 1,999 ($28) in India on Amazon from September 28th.
Mi LED TV
We earlier hinted that Xiaomi would announce new TV models in India. Well, the company did announce three TVs but with new names and features. All these TVs have Xiaomi’s Patchwall UI. There’s also voice integration that allows users to navigate with much ease compared to the remote. Xiaomi debuted new Patchwall that will bring Android power to its TV OS. You’ll get YouTube, Google Play, Chromecast support with all these new TVs which is a great new addition to the software side of things. There’s also Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. All these TVs have a new Amlogic quad-core chip and 8GB of storage.
The Mi TV 4C Pro is the smallest which comes in at 32-inches and costs Rs 14,999 ($207). It has HD resolution. For connectivity, the Mi TV 4C offers three HDMI ports and two USB ports. This model has 1GB of RAM. The Mi TV 4C will be on sale from 9th October on Amazon and Mi.com.
The Mi TV 4A Pro boasts of a Full HD+ HDR display – 49 inches. Under the hood, there’s the same Amlogic chip with 2GB of RAM. All these TVs have the same selection of ports – three HDMI ports, and two USB ports. The Mi TV 4A comes with a cost of Rs 29,999 ($413) and will be on sale from 9th of October on Amazon and Mi.com.

The Mi TV 4 Pro is the biggest of the lot. It boasts of a 55-inch 4K HDR display (3840x2160p) with ultra-thin bezels not seen on the previous two models. It also has Dolby Audio and AI-based voice recognition. There’s 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It costs Rs 49,999 ($689) and will be sold on Flipkart and Mi.com.
Mi Home Security Camera
Xiaomi’s Home Security Camera comes equipped with IoT-enabled surveillance. It has 130 degrees of ultra-wide angle lens for less blind spots. It can record at up to 1080p and also supports night-recording feature and there’s an Android app to easily control and view recorded footage. It also comes with a microSD card slot with support for up to 64GB. The Mi Home Security Camera costs Rs 2,699 ($37).
Mi Air Purifier 2S
Xioami already sells an Air Purifier in India. The Air Purifier 2S is an extension of that. The 2S comes with some new stuff not on the previous model. That includes the OLED display. It shows current level of air pollution, humidity and temperature. It also has Wi-Fi connectivity and remote management via an app. Xiaomi is betting on the forthcoming Diwali season that arrives with a lot of firecrackers and smoke to drive the sales of the Air Purifier 2S. It costs Rs 8,999 ($124) in India and will be on sale from tomorrow on Flipkart and Amazon.
Mi Luggage
The Mi Luggage in India comes in 20-inches and costs Rs 2,999 ($41) while the 24-inch price is Rs 4,299 ($59) in India. Sales start from tomorrow on Flipkart and Amazon. It’s the same as the suitcase 1A of China but has different sizes than the Chinese model. The Suitcase 1A has a solid three-layer composite structure and is made up of Germany Bayer PC material, and has a TSA lock. It’s four wheels can rotate in all directions. It will be on sale starting tomorrow.
