Nokia 7.1 Plus certification confirms 6.2-inch display, 2.2GHz Octa-Core and more

Nokia 7.1 Plus

Ahead of its release in the next month, the notched Nokia 7.1 Plus has just been certified in Chinese TENAA. The listing confirms pretty much every specification of the smartphone leaving just a few to the imagination.

The listing is yet to be updated with real renders of the smartphone, however, we can already have a complete glimpse of the phone specifications. The document in question details some physical details about the smartphone such as the 154.8 × 75.76 × 7.97 mm dimensions. Furthermore, the smartphone will boast a 6.18-inch with 2340×1080 pixels of resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio. Worth noting that despite having a bigger display, due to the notch and reduced bezels this smartphone will be smaller than the former Nokia 7 Plus.

Under the hood the smartphone will be powered by an unspecified 2.2GHz processor, which can be the rumored Snapdragon 710, however, that clock also coincides with the Snapdragon 660. The Nokia 7.1 Plus will come in two configurations one with 4GB RAM and 64GB of Storage and another with 6GB of RAM and 128GB. The storage can also be increased via a microSD card.

The camera department will consist in a dual-camera setup with 13MP+12MP sensors on the rear, and a 20MP front-facing snapper. To fuel this house of specs the handset will count with a rather large 3,400mAh battery, and Android 8.1 Oreo. The Android OS in the certification can be considered a surprise. Since this smartphone will be part of Android One project, we would expect to see it running Android 9.0 Pie.

In any case, the smartphone will see the light of day alongside the standard Nokia 7.1 on October 4. Upon the start of sales, the consumers will be able to opt between Blue, Red, or Silver color variants.
