Nokia 7 Plus gets a taste of Android Pie

Since Google announced Android 9.0 a few weeks back, everyone has been wanting a share of the pie. But not everybody has got one. OnePlus 6 users were lucky enough to have a stable update served to them very fast. Now, the Nokia 7 Plus is the latest to get the same treatment. HMD Global had promised an update by the end of September, and Nokia has delivered.

The update has been a bit late as developers faced some “tricky platform specific certification bugs.” Otherwise, it could have arrived even earlier. Needless to say, it is one of the elite few devics right now to run stock Android 9.0. And as you might have already presumed, there won’t be any major additions to the official Android 9.0 changelog. Nonetheless, we’re yet to see Nokia post an official one, so you’ll have to wait to see what changes the new update brings.

As for what’s already in the stock version, things like a DND mode, a Dashboard for monitoring all your smartphone activities, Adaptive Battery and Adaptive Brightness are just a few you will like to see.

The Nokia 7 Plus was unveiled in February and could be replaced soon as reports of a Nokia 7.1 Plus have started hitting the Internet fast. Nokia is already working on a sequel even as it works to bring Android 9.0 to other of its mid-range devices.
