Samsung is on a roll to launch more budget and mid-tier smartphones in India. And now, the company might launch yet another mid-tier smartphone, albeit in China on the 11th of October. The company is likely to launch the Galaxy P30 and the Galaxy P30 Plus at the “4x fun event”.
For a good time we thought that the Galaxy P30 (SM-G6200) will be South Korea’s first smartphone with fingerprint scanner, until a Chinese leaker revealed that it will not be a such equipment here. But the P30 Plus is tipped to launch with an in-screen fingerprint sensor, and the P30 Plus moniker will be the first Samsung smartphone to do so.
Today, thanks to a TENAA certification, we have the chance to see real pictures of the P30 phone. The phone will come with high-end features at a price more affordable than Samsung’s other premium phones. We have a unibody frame with metal frame and glass back, where we find a dual camera placed vertically in the left corner and a central fingerprint scanner.
Gizchina News of the week
Samsung Galaxy P30 specifications
The smartphone should bring us a Snapdragon 845, 4 or 6 GB RAM and 64 or 128 GB flash storage with a 3300 to 3500mAh battery and probably over 6 inches screen.
Samsung smartphones typically come with an OLED display, and the Galaxy P30 will have an LCD screen, which will help the brand to reduce the cost of manufacturing. Similarly, the Samsung Galaxy P30 Plus is expected to come with an OLED display, as the in-screen fingerprint sensor cannot be implemented on a smartphone with an LCD or TFT display.
The P30 and P30 Plus are likely to be priced aggressively to compete against the likes of the other mid-tier smartphones from Honor, Huawei, Xiaomi, and RealMe.
