Earlier this year, Xiaomi launched a crowdfunding campaign for the Xiaomi Ninebot Electric Gokart, a device that can be used by itself or purchased as a kit to go with Xiaomi’s No. 9 or the Segway miniPRO, two high quality balance scooters. Now, this Gokart and the conversion kit are finally on sale, starting at 2999 yuan.
Once assembled one of the compatible scooters with the kit, we have a real Gokart sporting a steering wheel, throttle and brake pedal. The kit is designed to be retractable and can be used for users up to 130cm-190cm in height. The load is up to 100kg and can be used by both adults and children.
At the headquarters of Ninebot and Segway (acquired from the first) they are also sure to get your hands on a real beast, even comparing it with some pretty high performance cars like the Porsche Boxter 2.7, Volkswagen GTI 2.0T and Mercedes Benz CLA 250 (image above ).

Finally, the Gokart has a maximum speed which differs depending on the mode selected . It ranges from 8 km / h in novice mode, 18km / h in normal mode and 24km / h in sport mode. Double tapping the brake pedal will also switch the motor from going forward or backward, which is not a feature normal Gokarts have.
The Xiaomi Ninebot Electric Gokart Kit is available in three variants: the simple kart conversion kit for 2999 yuan ($430), the kart conversion kit plus Ninebot 9 4996 yuan ($727), and the kit with the Segway miniPRO at 6698 yuan ($975).
