Google teases Pixel 3’s ‘Active Edge’ technology in a new Video


Google’s third iteration of the Pixel line of smartphones – the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are both slated to launch later on October 7th, and if the latest scoop is any indication, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL could carry over a very notable feature from last year’s Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones.

A teaser video released by the Japanese arm of Google that bothers on the act of touching, squeezing and hugging objects and people could be an indication that the upcoming Pixel 3 and its larger XL variant could feature the Active Edge technology which first debuted with the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones.

While the teaser is only about 30-seconds, the biggest takeaway is that of a hand squeezing the outline of a phone, which in our guess could be the Pixel 3 and 3XL. Check out the video below.

Due to be released on October 7th, the new smartphone is tipped to feature the top range Snapdragon 845 chipset, AMOLED display, as well as Google’s latest iteration of the Android OS- Android 9.0. Aside from both devices, the tech giant is widely expected to unveil a new wireless charger called the “Pixel Stand,”
