Apple’s 2018 iPhones have not settled properly in the market but early estimates from experts suggest that these smartphones will not do badly after all. Recent research from Flurry Analytics using over a million mobile apps to estimate iPhone XS/iPhone XS Max sales show that these smartphones perform better (in terms of sales) than iPhone X and iPhone 8/iPhone 8 Plus but still falls short of iPhone 7. Flurry Analytics also said that a similar comparison shows that the iPhone XS series has seen a 7% increase in sales compared to the iPhone X and iPhone 8/8 Plus released last year.

The company said it expects this strong trend in the iPhone XS to continue into the holiday shopping season. Apple is still able to drive a stable market share for its latest products but is also actively raising prices to maintain revenue growth. This strategy seems to be working, and they are in a good position in the upcoming holiday shopping season.
However, despite the success of the iPhone XS, the iPhone 7 still maintains its number one position. In terms of market penetration, iPhone 7 (15.40%) is currently the number one iPhone model, iPhone 7 Plus (12.73%) ranked second, followed by iPhone 6S (12.40%). The iPhone XS Max won DisplayMate’s best smartphone display award, and the Consumer Report said it was not enough to replace the Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
