HOMTOM P1 phone with HD LED DLP projector coming soon

HOMTOM P1

The smaller chinese brands are usually not the innovation pioneers and they are mostly trying to play things safe and release some tried and tested gadgets to the market. But not all of them feel the same way, as demonstrated today with the revealed information about the upcoming HOMTOM P1 phone, because it will everything, but usual.

That’s because the HOMTOM P1 will be packing an OSRAM illumination and Texas Instruments DLP pico projector with native HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and capable of delivering brightness of 150 lumens. That’s quite some very solid numbers for a pico projector, especially a one integrated in a phone piece you are always carrying in your pocket. Portable and convenient at its best.

As for the specs we have no idea about the actual hardware equipment of the phone, because almost nothing has been revealed yet. The only piece of information is a big 5500 mAh battery capable of supporting 360 minutes of the projection, which is quite a feat on its own and a liquid cooling system for the phone to keep temps controlled. From the pictures it also looks like there will be a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, but that’s only guessing. We are certainly looking forward to hear more from HOMTOM, because the P1 looks pretty promising.
