Meizu took the wraps off Meixu X8 back in September. The device was well received by enthusiasts due to the presence of Snapdragon 710 chipset, a powerful processor that is available only in few smartphones. The Meizu X8 will not only come with such a powerful processor but will also be available for a low price of $230.
After a long period of wait, Meizu is finally ready to start selling the X8. The device will be available next Monday, October 15, at 10 AM local time. The device has been in pre-order since the phone launch on September 19, but now it’s time to pay for the real deal. Worth noting that the sales will start for consumers residing in China, there’s no word yet pointing to the global release of the handset.
Gizchina News of the week
The Meizu X8 is the first smartphone from the company to be a member of the notch army. The dubious cutout is present at the top of the 6.2-inch 2220×1080 LCD IPS display. The base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB will be available for $230, the 6GB RAM and 128GB combo will cost $259, and finally, the most powerful variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of Storage will available for $288.
The device brings a dual camera setup of 12MP + 5MP on the rear and a 20MP front-facing snapper. The device runs Android 8.0 Oreo with Meizu’s Flyme running atop. To fuel this package of specs the handset counts with a 3,210mAh battery.
Really excited about this one, they handled notch very well, and such specs for so low price is really amazing and its great to see meizu change their pricing strategy.
I have one on pre-order. Looking forward to checking it out
