Prior to and following Apple’s 2019 iPhones announcement, the reputable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has been forecasting iPhone shipments of between 75 and 80 million for the Q4 2018. The iPhone XR always has been the strong force in Kuo forecast, but today a new report published comes to reinforce the importance of the third model of Apple 2019 iPhones.
Following the strong demand for the iPhone XR, the analyst has raised its estimates to a whopping 93 million units during this last quarter. According to Kuo, this strong demand will be justified by the iPhone XR’s all-screen design, improved battery life, and the variety of colors. The crescent and strong demand will ultimately lead the device to surpass last year’s iPhone 8.
Gizchina News of the week
Moving into this new year, the iPhone 8 experienced a sales drop-off of around 50% following the holiday season. But when it comes to the iPhone XR, Kuo forecast a drop of just 30%, which is better than the industry decline of 40%. This result will ensure that the iPhone XR keeps a good performance even in the first quarter of 2019, which ends in March.
The iPhone XR will be available for pre-order on this Friday for $750. Shipments are set to start on October 26.
