Asus Zenfone L1 Lite with 3000mAh battery launched in India

It turns out that Asus’s Zenfone event, held in India earlier today is for the launch of two Zenfone smartphones – the Zenfone Max M1 and the budget Zenfone L1 lite. Both devices are aimed at the Xiaomi Redmi 6A and the Redmi 6, which currently rules the India budget segment.

While both devices get identical specs and design, the Asus Zenfone Lite L1, is, however the less capable of the duo, as it gets somewhat stepped down interiors as well as smaller price tag. The device flaunts a 5.45-inch HD+ display with a 1440 x 720 pixels resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio with a chunk on bezels on all side without the trendy display notch. Under the hood, the Asus Zenfone Lite L1 uses Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 430 chipset coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage which you can expand up to 256GB via SD card slot.

On the flip side, there is a single 13-megapixel main camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus and support for modes such as beauty and pro mode, without a fingerprint sensor, while it gets a 5-megapixel front camera with face unlock. Powered by a 3000mAh battery, the Asus Zenfone Lite L1 features a dedicated dual SIM slot, boots Android 8.1 Oreo with ZenUI 5.0 out of the box, and will come in Black and Gold colour options.
