Google Pixel 3 has better battery life than the XL model

On October 19th, Phonearena brought a battery life and charging test of the Google latest flagships Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. Google Pixel 3 uses a 5.5-inch 2280×1080 OLED display with a battery capacity of 2915mAh. The Pixel 3 XL uses a 6.3-inch 2960×1440 OLED display with a battery capacity of 3430mAh. Both are equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and 4GB of RAM.

In terms of battery life, Google Pixel 3’s battery life reached 8 hours and 22 minutes, and the Pixel 3 XL’s battery life was interestingly inferior, the result was 7 hours and 39 minutes.

Compared to the previous generation Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, the life of Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL has been regressed, but the gap is not big.

For charging time, Google Pixel 3 takes 113 minutes to charge and Pixel 3 XL takes 123 minutes to charge. Both are less than the previous generation Pixel 2 XL, but more than the Pixel 2.

Compared with iPhone XS series, Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Samsung Galaxy S9+, One Plus 6 and LG V40 ThinQ, Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are at the middle level.

The iPhone XS Max has the best battery life among this phones but it comes in the last place in charging time test, which took 209 minutes, the iPhone XS charging time is noting better, it took 185 minutes.
