The Pixel 3 and 3 XL debuted a lot of useful and neat features to the Google series of smartphones. These features will slowly be expanded to the older Pixel devices, and today the giant of searches decided to release the Pixel 3 Camera App for the Pixel and Pixel 2 smartphones.
The update will be available on PlayStore for the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, so if you have any of these devices wandering around, you can check to see if the update is available. Furthermore, this update adds a new gesture that allows users to long-press on the screen to launch Google Lens.

Unfortunately, this update doesn’t include the Photobooth or Top Shot, features that are currently available on Pixel 3 series, but Google may include support for older Pixel soon or later. Worth noting that Night Sight feature is available for Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. With the newest camera, the user can have access to more information with a simple swipe at the bottom of the viewfinder. Different Camera modes are easily accessible with a simple swipe to right or to the left.
It’s good to see that Google isn’t leaving its older smartphones behind, even when it comes to including the simplest feature of newer devices in the former flagships.
